Bridges Health’s Stay-at-Work Managed Abilities Program (MAP™) is based on a simple yet innovative philosophy: Healthy workers want to be at work. People want to feel productive, and with the right support, they will actively work on improving their health recovery and productivity under any circumstances. Through this stay-at-work program, we take a more hands-on role in assisting employees with their healthcare management while maintaining confidentiality. Stay-at-work plans are intended to be transitional and time-limited, with clearly defined start/end dates and review points to ensure they remain appropriate as recovery progresses. We also support employers by giving peace of mind that the best recovery plan is in place. Adaptable to all sectors, our programming offers a flexible, scalable approach to provide consistent, sustainable results regardless of industry, size, or union involvement of the organization.
Under the Managed Abilities Program, employees with high absenteeism rates are referred to Bridges Health to assist with management of their health care needs in coordination with workplace demands. Our program ensures that employees are individually supported, and the solutions outlined are developed specifically to their role in the workplace. Our advisors follow a stepwise process, introductions and job review, coordinated healthcare input, a documented accommodation/return plan, ongoing check-ins and adjustments, and formal plan closure to keep everyone aligned.
By integrating tailored stay-at-work services and practical stay at work solutions, our coordinated approach helps employees remain productive, reduces the risk of short- or long-term disability, and strengthens overall workplace wellbeing.
Confidentiality is key to early intervention. Often, the first signs of trouble may be confusing for the employee. Bridges Health works with healthcare providers and organizations to create a seamless transition program. All steps are taken with informed employee consent; where appropriate we request targeted clinical information from treatment providers to design safe, evidence-based work adjustments while protecting privacy.
Healthcare Navigation. The first signs of medical distress may be confusing and with most new activities, getting a little guidance on navigating the path forward results in better outcomes than navigating on your own.
Continuity and Ability to transition to full case management in the event that the employee’s situation deteriorates and the need for full absence management is necessary. If the employee’s condition does not improve, we document the decision points and seamlessly escalate the case to full absence management with the same continuity of care and records.
Communication and documentation ensure complete communication and record keeping for both the employee and employer regarding the approved accommodation and return to work planning. Each plan includes measurable objectives and scheduled review intervals so progress is tracked, outcomes are measured, and adjustments are made based on evidence.
Workers Compensation case management is driven by cost savings to the employer. The benefits help employees return to work in an early and safe manner, but the focus is on ensuring early intervention or recovery models are providing the right information to employers to help control the cost impact of work injuries.
Complete absence avoidance means savings to the employer!
Reduces knowledge loss in the workplace due to total absences and the need for replacement workers to learn new tasks.
Use for one case or all cases, it’s the employer choice and selection.
