Immediate Workplace Injury response

When workplace injury occurs, it is important to react quickly and appropriately. While emergencies still rely on local emergency contacts, a quick assessment or guidance can save time, injuries, and keep an employee productive in the workplace.

Bridges Health is available with one of our Health Services Consultants for contact regarding recommendations on the best course of action, and help employers determine how our services can best be used to manage the situation.

The assessor will recommend whether the injured person should see a doctor, requires physiotherapy treatment to recover, or can provide the individual with stretches and exercises to help them heal.

In some cases, an absence from the workplace may occur, but the goal is to offer accommodation opportunities and treatment to maintain workplace function and full recovery. The recovery process after an injury can be confusing and overwhelming, but Bridges Health Services supports employees throughout their recovery. We assist individuals in navigating the healthcare system, arranging necessary medical appointments, accompanying employees for additional support, advocating for expedited referrals, and educating on recovery. We also offer information and support on modified duties available in the workplace to physicians and medical providers to mitigate time loss and ensure a safe return to work as soon as possible.

Benefits

There are many reasons to involve Bridges Health when an injury occurs in the workplace. The most important reason for an employer is ensuring the right care at the right time for the employee. The second is cost. Lost time injury claims and prolonged absence may impact on premiums for a period of time, not just in the short-term. The ability to involve a third party to help navigate the medical system challenges and engage in early accommodation and return to work processes are key to ensuring either lost time avoidance, or early accommodation opportunities.
Key Benefits:

Cost Savings for the employer through rapid assessment and advice on accommodation opportunities
