Mental Health Education

In today’s absence and disability management cases, mental health disorders are accounting for an increasing number of absences. Mental health claims now account for approximately 30-40% of both short- and long-term disability claims and are typically one of the top two causes of disability claims.

With the growth of mental health conditions, prevention presents a key opportunity for many organizations. Mental health education and training aim to equip employees and leaders with the tools to manage stress, build resilience, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Mental health education empowers employees and leaders to recognize early signs of mental health issues, seek help proactively, and support colleagues. This proactive approach is part of an overall wellness and prevention strategy to reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, lower turnover rates, and benefit costs, ultimately boosting the organization’s bottom line.
